Following to the government of Federal Democratic Republic of NEPAL's expression of interest to open an honorary consulate in Tehran and introducing of Mr. Shahram Shantiaee as Honorary Consul General and following to the approval of the government of the Islamic Republic of IRAN to the aforementioned, the consulate was inaugurated in July 2011. The consulate main tasks are as follows:

Taking care of Nepalese' merchants and citizens who may trade or reside within the consulate district of travel to the same.
